The Moon
The moon winked at daybreak
and acknowledged my greeting
a mere nod to a peek-a-boo
existence. Almost full, it
shared space with the rising
sun, satisfied in its cycle
as a thin sliver of pie fades
away. Movement of the sun,
moon, and Earth soon make right
with the world in replacing
the tripod with the bipolar
alignment. Two extremes,
constantly pulling, cause
chaos. All is normal today.

Evolutionistic this piece is: the day and you, seemingly awakening together with the magnificence of both sun and moon. But as the day drifts, so does your train of though; resent repercussions of their alignment to a calm but almost uncertain affirmation.
You know, James, I have been so thrilled that you've been visiting and making such wonderful comments. I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate it. I wasn't that thrilled with this as I wrote it, but you've done it well. Thanks.
