Goodbye is not an easy word.
There is a finality to it.
I much prefer until later
or see you another time.
See you later, alligator!
Our intentions may be true,
but we move on and get busy
with life in general. That
empty space fills slowly.
And it does fill...
one
painful
drop
at
a
time.
It is never the same again.
You go, I stay, and we miss
each other in eventuality.

Well, no. Mike said he would send us a card with their new address. I hope he does it. He also said that we would see each other again. I hope so.
